Bonded In Baseball History, Fred Lynn and Ichiro Suzuki Finally Meet
On Thursday, July 23rd The Florida Marlins visited the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Fred lives nearby and when he heard Ichiro was in town, he paid him a visit before the game, so they could finally meet. In 1975, Fred Lynn was the first player in major league history to win the Rookie of the Year and MVP awards in the same year. In 2001, after playing 9 years in the Japanese League (NBP), Ichiro join the Seattle Mariners. At 29 years old, he won MLB’s Rookie of the year and MVP awards.
